2017 is here! And what better intention for the New Year than to find balance! 2016 was a hard year for many...Leaving many of us feeling unbalanced and out of our orbit of health! Start 2017 off right with us @ Horizon Training Center!
Our Balanced Body Bootcamp is our way of finding harmony in our body & mind with proper nutrition, exercise, and meditation. We understand that to live a full and healthy life, we must be balanced in many different aspects of our life. We will cover 3 areas in our Balanced Body Bootcamp: A healthy mind, a healthy body in motion, and a healthy body through proper nutrition.
When I (Hannah H.) think about health, I think about what fuel I am putting into my body, what/how much motion my body gets each day, and where do my thoughts take me (Are the positive, or are they negative and cylical?)? Too often do I get in a rush of life and forget to eat, forget to make that time to exercise (you only need 30 minutes a day!), and because I forget to do these things I beat myself up about them... I have been there. I know how it works. And Horizon Training Center is here to help you overcome these negative reactions to life and help you find that balance that is very POSSIBLE in our busy life!
To me, balance is a hard thing to maintain because we often are not in the right mindset and of course, we are creatures of habit and stick with what we know and feel comfortable with....Well...Have I got news for you- this doesn't allow us to grow! And to achieve balance in our life, we have to be willing to try new things! So if you've never done yoga- I can assure you that you need it! If you only do yoga, I can assure you that your body needs the discipline from Martial Arts! If you only take TRX (or workout at the gym/run/etc), I can assure you that your body needs recovery time and time to SLOW down!
This 6 week program asks you to complete 3 workouts a week with us: 1 Yoga/Meditation class, 1 Martial Arts class, and 1 TRX class.
We will begin by setting our goals that we hope to achieve over the duration of the bootcamp. We will also take measurements, weight, and provide journals so we can journal our thoughts, mood, energy levels, workouts, and what we ate that day. You will also be provided with a few choices of nutritional meal plans, nutrition coaching, personal fitness coaching, and life coaching. Those who sign up also get 20% off of massages through the duration of the program with Balanced Bodywork!

We will meet January 7th for our first meet up where we will set goals, take measurements, meet the crew, and have a great first workout! From there- we will then cover what is to be expected throughout the remainder of the 6 weeks!
